The Gospel in a Nutshell

  • In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth   Genesis 1 v.1

  • God created man in His own image…male and female created He them   Genesis 1 v.27-28

  • And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul   Genesis 2 v.7

  • And the LORD God commanded the man (Adam), saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die   Genesis 2 v.16-17

  • The woman (Eve)….took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat   Genesis 3 v.6

  • By one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin   Romans 5 v.12

  • All have sinned and come short of the glory of God   Romans 3 v.23

  • The wages of sin is death , but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord   Romans 6 v.23

  • Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them   Genesis 4 v.21

  • For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life   John 3 v.16

  • Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.  No man cometh unto the Father but by Me”   John 14 v.6

  • There is but one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus   1 Timothy 2 v.5

  • It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement.  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation   Hebrews 9 v.27-.28
